Rugby fan, Founder, and CEO
Based in Oxfordshire, England

Where did you graduate from?

The University of Birmingham, UK.

What is your role at StageClip, and what does your job entail?

Founder and CEO.

My Co-Founder, Mark and I are over all areas of the business between us. Day-to-day I tend to focus more on product and marketing but also spend much of my time on the future vision, nurturing our partnerships, and working with the awesome StageClip team. I’m also fortunate to have kept a select range of clients which is important to me as it means I’m involved in understanding their changing needs and can influence product build to serve them best.

Any advice for those currently graduating?

My son graduated last summer. My advice to him was to explore the world, understand himself, be free, be kind to humanity and our precious planet and the rest of life will take care of itself. If you’re loved, healthy and have the privilege of an education, you’ll be ok.

What is your favorite thing about working at StageClip?

Creating extraordinary impact so millions of people smile as they re-live their special moment on stage and share the experience with friends, family and the world!

What’s the best part of your job?

The people who make smiles happen! We have such a lovely group of people in the team with great personalities all working remotely. From Sri Lanka to California and London to Florida, you’ll always see a smile. And it’s not just our team its’ the strong partnerships we’ve formed with people in our partner businesses all over the world. It’s brilliant!

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I’m a keen rugby fan although I’m too old and decrepit to play anymore! I get great joy following England, Leicester Tigers and my local village club, the mighty Claverdon Lions RFC!

Do you have a favorite saying, quote, or personal mantra and if so, what is it and why?

Be bold. Go out into the world with courage and conviction and be brave. If you make a mistake (and we all do) we’ll fix it. It’s better to fix something than not to have attempted something in the first place.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

We are blessed to work in an environment where we create extraordinary impact for people centred around one of life’s big moments, graduation. In 5 years’, time I’d like StageClip to be gifted to the 70m+ graduates on planet earth as a matter of course. I’d like it to be free to institutions and free to graduates and supported commercially by one of the world’s great brands. I’d like it to be a brand that positively impacts the outcomes of graduates. I’d like that brand to become known for ‘gifting the graduation moment to the world.’ That to me would be a great legacy.

What was the most recent book you read?

High Performance – Lessons from the Best on Becoming Your Best by Jake Humphrey and Prof Damien Hughes. Everyone should read it!

What show are you currently binge-watching?

Full Swing on Netflix. Love it!
