Keith Warburg

Marketing Guy, Nerd Dad, and Data Wizard!

Where did you graduate from?

Georgia Southern University.

What is your role at StageClip, and what does your job entail?

I am the Chief Marketing Officer! As a first-generation college grad with over ten years of leadership experience at universities, I work each day to share the joy of graduates with as many family, friends, and colleagues as possible, hoping to inspire the next generation of graduates to succeed.

Any advice for those currently graduating?

Fully enjoy your last semester – it is a time like no other point in your life. And remember that experience and adaptability is more important than your degree, so don’t get held back or pigeon-holed by the keywords in your major – do something you find meaningful and fulfilling.

What is your favorite thing about working at StageClip?

There are 2 favorites that are tied! First, I love that I am making a difference for grads and their families, while helping institutions reach their goals. Second, I can honestly say that StageClip has become my second family. The culture that has been created and fostered here is something so unique!

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

Spending time with my wife, our two kids, and our dogs is my favorite thing in the world. Most of my job involves a lot of screen time, so I try to get outdoors and keep my hands busy as often as possible, whether camping, woodworking, or serving at our church.

What is a fun fact most people may not know about you?

My first major in college was marketing, but I changed it because I never wanted to be a marketer. Funny enough, work experience and an open mind prevailed, and here I am today – and I wouldn’t change a thing!

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I am 100% an after-hours guy. My biggest energy boost is usually after the kids go to bed, which usually means late nights, but it also means less distractions and better focus.

How do you find working remotely?

Transitioning from a strict office schedule on a college campus to remote work during the pandemic was a challenge at first, but I can’t imagine ever doing it differently. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life (literally 2 months after I completed my doctorate, ironically), so remote work allows me the flexibility to work intensely when my focus is up, and take care of myself and my family when the focus just isn’t there. It’s been life-changing for my productivity. work-life balance, and mental health.

Opportunity usually comes in the form of question - "can you do this?" I owe every bit of success in my career to always being ready to say "yes" when tapped on the shoulder. Even if it means learning something on the job, having a "yes" mindset will lead to growth (in some form) 100% more often than saying "no."
